Gaziantep Airport is in a rural area to the south of the city. It's almost exactly 20 km from the city centre, and it will take you a little less than half an hour to drive there in normal traffic conditions.

There are no good alternative routes that will take you into the city, and the airport does not have direct roads to other towns. Ensure you take the D850 heading north. Going south, this road leads to the Syrian border. Other major roads in the area include the D835, which leads north to Kahramanmaras, and the D400, which will take you east towards Sanliurfa. The closest large city is Adana, which can be reached by taking the O52 west.

Gaziantep Airport is a small domestic airport that only serves the city of Gaziantep in Southern Turkey. With its castle, historic ruins and mosaics, and world-renowned pistachios, Gaziantep has plenty to offer visitors. There are also some beautiful mountains in the surrounding area if you are looking to get away from it all into nature. When travelling in this region, it's important to steer clear of the border with Syria, which can be dangerous. Visitors should stay in and around the town of Gaziantep and stay on the main roads whenever possible.
